As with her first book Ms. Post does not disappoint the reader. From the first pages to the last she will take you on a journey of good versus evil, where loyalties will be tested, hero's will be lost and in the end you will wish there was more. A true writer makes you believe in her characters, feel their pain, their doubt, their joy and their sorrow. You will come to think of them as your friends and like all friends be sad when it is over and they have to leave. Hopefully there will be more to come because once you fall in love with a character you want to continue to follow them and see where life leads them.I think I liked this book better than the first because it showed more of the struggle Enoch had face. Even though he is immortal, a fallen angel sent to bring his friend home, this book showed more of his vulnerability as he once again questioned why innocents are left to suffer. He also questions his relationship with Veronika as we all do when we find the one we love but wonder will we be enough to keep them happy. I think the only flaw I found in this book was with Veronika's character. Even though I know from the first book why she is hesitant and protective of her heart I didn't feel the depth of emotion I did with the other characters. Still all in all it was a good book and would definitely recommend it to fellow readers.

I love the number of super-beings and how there's depth to the origin of the characters. Angels with vamps!? Doesn't get better! I love the element of realistic research that has gone into the super-beings. Good action too. When is the next one coming out?
Follows the first book and continues a wonderful story line. Just goes to show you that all books about vampires are not scary and disgusting. And that there are angels among us.
can't stop reading this book
wish it can continue first time I read the author book and it now make me her followers.I'm going to be reading her books from now on ,wish the story of Caleb and his angel brother can continue. hope Judith Post can give more us more story like this one .Can't wait to read more of her books.keep on bringing more stories like this one it's edge and mind boggling love the book.
It is not often when reading a series ( for me at least ) to like the second book better than the first .... with that being said ...
I love this book. From good vampires to bad vampires .. From good men to bad men .. Angels .... the war is on. Was really glad the we got to know more about characters from the first book ...So looking forward to the next one.
This book was every bit as good as the first if not better. You can feel the depths of Enoch's struggles and his humanity coming through in his all too human relationship struggles. Ms. Post writes with such details, that I can easily picture every nuance of each characters physicality all the way to Veronika's yellow eyes. I really enjoyed reading more about the "good" vampires in this one and actually felt the loss of the ones who were slain. All in all, I simply can not wait for a third book and can not wait to see how things end up now that Enoch and Veronika are mates!
I really enjoyed these books. I wasn't sure how Ms. Post was going to pick up where the first book ended but I wasn't disappointed. She wrote another great story with very interesting characters. You really feel for Enoch and the "good" vampires. It makes you wonder; will Enoch ever be able to go Home? This book also leaves the option open for another book in the series......... I'm hoping that is true because I'm not ready to let go of these characters yet.
If you enjoy books about vampires and angels, give this one a try. It's a good book and a quick read. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.
The first Fallen Angel's book was interesting, but Blood Battles (Fallen Angels) stole my Heart, to fight one's own sibling and still try to Love them can be hard on a Human, but for an Angel Fallen or not has to be sheer torture. Enoch and Caleb, tho on opposing sides, come to understand what true Brotherhood means when they are forced to destroy the offspring of Caleb, who even tho he has created them, must now destroy what he has created, but to me Caleb has been shown a lesson that I feel he has yet to understand. Even tho the One, as God is described, has cast Caleb and Enoch out of Heaven, his Love for them has not and never will diminish, this is why I Love this story and Hope that Judith Post will write more about her Fallen Angels.
